White Sewing Machine

Early 1900's

I got this "White" sewing machine as part of a treadle table setup, which I wanted for the table - not the machine, though I do like the machine, as well.

I love the very square sewing head & Face. She was a beauty in her day, but they don't sell decals for her, so I decided to try something different, & painted her Red, with White decals. I really liked it, & it did sell, but only 1 bidder.

Alas, I'll never know if it was the color choices, or just the machine that stopped folks from bidding more. (It's a pretty common machine, which was well thought of at the time, so lots were sold, & survive today.)

The Final picture at the bottom is of the lovely treadle table I get to keep. Yay! : )

This machine was in pretty good condition when I got it, & it was refurbished completely.

Sold on Ebay in 2019.

Look how shiny that came out. It's like a mirror. I love it.

BTW, as usual, the colors are off, and this was in reality a deep, dark red -

almost Maroon - not Candy Apple Red, as it appears in the photos.

I'm pretty happy about selling it, but welcome opinions about the Red & White colors - vs the usual Black & Gold.

I loved both, but since only 1 buyer bid on this one, I have no way to know if it was because it's a pretty common machine with little value otherwise, or if it was because the color choices put people off.

Let me know if you have an opinion on the colors. I'd love to hear it. < Karen.Malnati@Gmail.com >

As promised, Here is my lovely new Treadle Table. She's nearly flawless, and in spectacular condition on the exterior.

She needs some fixing up inside, to support a new machine properly, but she's pretty for now, and I love it! : )
