F W Muller # 12

Toy - 1890's

This one is the FW Muller #12.

FW Muller was a German company, who began manufacturing toy sewing machines in 1888. Their earliest machines were Cast Iron, but soon they began to produce machines stamped out of sheet metal with tin plate.

This is one of their early Cast Iron machines, probably from the 1890's, though I could not find a specific date. These machines were intended to be toys, but were sturdy, fully functional machines, & nearly as big as the full size sewing machines of other manufacturers of the time. They are known for their Ornate Paw Feet, & other decorative details on their very sturdy bases.

FYI: Finished Machine is Black, with GOLD decals - Not Silver, as it appears in the photos.

This machine was completely refurbished, & salvaged from her formerly rusty condition. SOLD on Ebay in 2018.

Sorry for the terrible colors. My computer is way off, despite many tries to correct it.

Screen shots from my in process videos come out awful, but I mostly video the in-process work, so that's all I can do.

The decals on the refurbished machine are GOLD, despite appearing silver in pics, & my desk isn't Orange, either - its a Honey tone wood. : )
